It's always, always about what's in it for you and your target audience.
As a marketer and copywriter I help companies gain brand exposure, promote products, grab attention, and increase sales. My ultimate goal is to reach your target audience with benefits-driven content that moves them to act--and, of course, boosts your bottom line.
I pride myself on professionalism, expertise, and my ability to meet your deadlines (yes, even the crazy ones).
I have a decade of marketing experience and two English degrees to boot. If you'd like to see details on my stuffy formal credentials, jet on over to my LinkedIn page.

"Our website was floundering until we found Andrea.
She took the time to study our business and understand what we do. Then she used her incredible writing and marketing skills to create a website that speaks to who we are and excites people about our services.
Since Andrea started writing our Facebook ads, business has been booming!"

I typically charge by the project so you know exactly how much you're in for before we get started. I can often get you an estimate the same day you ask. All fees quoted include two rounds of revision unless you say otherwise. If the scope of your project should change significantly during our work together, I will provide you with an updated bid before proceeding. I can offer you my lowest rates with a regular partnership, such as weekly blogging or a year-long marketing plan.
Once you approve the estimate and we discuss the scope of the project I start doing my homework. I research and investigate your target market and industry, audience pain points, benefits and potential drawbacks of the product, and anything else I can get my hands on. The big idea is to learn as much as I can that will help me speak to your audience in meaningful ways. Part of this process includes the Compass Writing Discovery Questionnaire that will help us get to the heart of the matter.
Armed with sufficient source material, I create a first draft and send it your way for review. I include two rounds of revision in my initial bid, so it won’t cost you anything extra to provide feedback and ask for changes. (If your project requires more than the two rounds, I’ll give you an idea of cost before proceeding.)
If you need help with design, printing, website development, or other production, that process begins after the words are finalized.
Once you approve the end result, I send you the bill.
I prefer payment by check. I also accept credit cards via PayPal, no account needed. Credit card and PayPal payments are subject to a 3% processing fee in addition to your balance. You’d make me smile if I received payment within 30 days of invoicing. If you need other arrangements, let’s discuss.
I reserve the right to require 1/2 of the total project fee up front as a deposit from new clients and for jobs over $2000. I offer rush services at an additional fee of 25% of the total project cost for jobs with deadlines of 48 hours or less. If the project is killed for any reason after completion of the copywriting, I am entitled to full payment of the agreed-upon fee. If the project is killed during the copywriting stage, I am entitled to full payment of all time invested up to that point. If more than 90 days have elapsed since the project's start date, I will bill you for all time invested up to that point (unless prior arrangements have been made).
Professionalism, reliability, and a fun, positive working experience are all included at no extra cost.
"Andrea is my marketing consultant and copywriter. She helped me launch my business by developing my web content and marketing collateral. Really she created the voice of my company.
I don't know how I could have gotten started without Andrea."
